Family Stories

Real words from real families

Oliver Cibi from Adelaide, Australia with his family celebrating their child's first birthday

As somebody who used recently the IVF and surrogacy services of Nova Parent, I highly recommend Nova Parent and Andrew Khodonovych to anybody who needs these types of services.

Andrew is a very serious and dedicated professional, who understands very well all aspects of the business but is also a very pleasant person to deal with or enjoy a beer. He made everything easy — from contract forms, compliance with Australian legislation, finding egg donors for me to choose from, organising and supervising the entire IVF process, finding and selecting a surrogate mother to my liking, representing me legally in Ukraine, finding accommodation, supervising the surrogate mother during pregnancy, and arranging transportation while in Kyiv or Lviv.

I did not need another lawyer in Australia — Andrew did everything right and there never were any issues.

I would also recommend surrogacy in Ukraine if you want to have the peace of mind of not having to worry the surrogate mother will change her mind.

If you want to ask me anything about my surrogacy journey, feel free to contact me directly via WhatsApp, Messenger, email () or phone after initial contact. Just bear in mind I live in Adelaide, Australia — mind the time zone.

We are doing great — especially Baby Jesson, who just turned one year old! He is a very healthy, strong and smart boy. He has given us so much joy this past year.

Andrew helped us get through the stress caused by the war. The way he handled the extraction of our surrogate mother and our baby boy (8 months in the womb) away from Eastern Ukraine, bringing them safely to Lviv, is something we will never forget.

Thank you so much, Andrew, for assisting us — from Jessie's part of the process all the way to bringing our baby home from Lviv. Forever grateful.

FAQ

Questions answered honestly

Surrogacy involves complex legal, medical, and emotional dimensions. Here are some of the questions we hear most often — see our full FAQ for many more.

Yes. All three countries have explicit legal frameworks permitting gestational surrogacy for married heterosexual couples. In Ukraine and Armenia, intended parents are named on the birth certificate immediately after birth. In Georgia, a court hearing is required, which we manage entirely.
Novaparent works exclusively with married heterosexual couples who have a documented medical need for surrogacy — such as an absent or damaged uterus, repeated IVF failure, or other diagnosed conditions preventing a safe natural pregnancy.
Every surrogate in our programme has already given birth to at least one healthy child of her own. She undergoes a comprehensive medical examination, psychological evaluation, criminal background check, and social assessment before being matched with intended parents.
Most journeys take 12–18 months from signing the agreement to bringing your baby home. This includes surrogate matching (4–8 weeks), IVF and embryo transfer (2–3 months), pregnancy (9 months), and post-birth legal steps (4–6 weeks).
All three countries offer the same all-inclusive pricing. The right choice depends on your priorities and nationality: Ukraine has the fastest legal process. Georgia has the longest legal history (since 1997) and is particularly trusted by EU, US, UK, and Australian authorities. Armenia offers a clear legal framework with no court proceedings required. We discuss all three during your free consultation.
Our Standard programmes include one embryo transfer. Our Comfort and Prestige programmes include unlimited transfers at no additional cost — providing full financial protection if the first attempt is unsuccessful.
