The surrogacy process at Novaparent takes 12 to 18 months from first consultation to bringing your baby home. It includes seven steps: initial enquiry, medical assessment, legal contracts and surrogate matching, IVF and embryo transfer, pregnancy monitoring, birth and birth certificate, and finally passport and consular process.
How It Works
A surrogacy journey involves many moving parts — medical, legal, emotional, logistical. Here is exactly how the process works with Novaparent, from your first enquiry to the day you bring your baby home.

A typical surrogacy programme runs 12–18 months from contract signing to bringing your baby home. Most intended parents only need to physically visit twice — for embryo transfer (3–5 days, optional) and the birth (2–4 weeks).
The process below applies to all three of our destinations — Ukraine, Georgia, and Armenia. Country-specific differences are noted in the next section.
You reach out to us — by form, email, or WhatsApp — and we schedule a free, confidential video consultation with one of our specialists. Conducted in English.
We learn about your situation, explain the process in full, walk through all three country options, and give you a clear picture of realistic costs and timelines. No pressure, no obligation.
Once you've decided to proceed, both partners complete a fertility assessment — at our partner clinic in Ukraine, Georgia, or Armenia, or through a fertility clinic in your home country that we coordinate with.
We review your results, confirm your medical eligibility, recommend a program and destination, and prepare the agency agreement. Fully transparent — you see every cost before signing.
Our legal team prepares the surrogacy agreement — a contract between you and the surrogate that defines all rights, responsibilities, compensation, and obligations. Signed in the presence of a notary.
Simultaneously, we begin the surrogate matching process. We present profiles of pre-screened surrogates — including medical history, psychological evaluation, and personal background. You review and approve the match.
Your embryos are created through IVF using either your own genetic material or donor eggs (included in Comfort and Prestige programs). Our partner clinics use the latest laboratory protocols with consistently high fertilisation rates.
The surrogate undergoes endometrial preparation and, once her lining is ready, the embryo transfer takes place. PGT-A 24-chromosome genetic testing is available to maximise the chance of a healthy pregnancy.
Once pregnancy is confirmed, our medical team monitors the surrogate throughout the full nine months. You receive regular updates — ultrasound reports, medical summaries, and milestone notifications — from your personal coordinator.
The surrogate receives monthly compensation, health insurance, and psychological support throughout. Visits during pregnancy are arranged by mutual agreement, and you can attend key ultrasound appointments by arrangement.
You travel to the country approximately 2–4 weeks before the estimated due date. Novaparent arranges accommodation, airport pickup, and hospital logistics. The specific maternity facility is selected based on the country and the surrogate's medical situation. You are present at the birth if you wish.
After birth, the birth certificate is issued in your names as legal parents. In Ukraine and Armenia this happens within days. In Georgia a court hearing is required, which Novaparent manages entirely (2–4 weeks).
With the birth certificate in hand, you apply for your baby's passport at your home country's embassy or consulate. Novaparent provides all documentation and supports the consular process, including drafting letters of explanation where required.
Once the passport is issued, you are free to fly home with your baby. Our coordinator stays in touch until you land safely — and many families remain in contact for years afterward.
